Mini Blue Tote Bag with Pearlized Blue & Purple Leather Flower

The bag is finished with solid brass hardware detailed throughout, including a brass spring closure on the front and stainless steel purse feet on the bottom to protect the base.

To prevent common bottom sagging and maintain the tote’s elegant silhouette, the design includes a handmade, double-sided leather bottom base. Each handbag is finished with a one-of-a-kind leather flower, hand-painted in a custom blend of pearlized blue and purple tones. The handbag arrives protected in a muslin cotton dust bag.

The Handmade Handbag Process

This mini tote is handcrafted personally by artist Lisa Ramos in her Clayton, California studio. Lisa’s design philosophy is focused on creating high-quality, ultra-lightweight handbags you can wear for years to come.

What makes a MONOLISA tote bag unique? Each handbag is a one-of-a-kind piece. The body of the tote is designed from a single piece of leather, creating a seamless and sophisticated form.

Each design is an extensive process of sourcing materials, developing a custom handbag pattern, hand cutting leather, skiving, working with adhesives, sewing, creating a painted leather flower, and surging a storage dust bag.

MONOLISA bags are not mass produced and are never sold in retail stores. Pieces are available exclusively on this website or in person at select juried fine art shows, including the San Francisco American Craft Show and other fine art juried shows in California.

Waste Reduction: Waste reduction is a top priority at MONOLISA. To reduce wastage, the majority of the leather hide is used while making this handbag collection.
