THE HANDMADE PROCESS
This classic earring style is handcrafted personally by artist Lisa Ramos in her Clayton, California studio. Each earring jacket is one of a kind and not casted for mass production. The process includes sawing, hand sculpting, soldering, hammering, texturing, sanding, buffing, heat hardening the Argentium silver to increase tarnish resistance, stone setting, and polishing.
The MONOLISA Collection is not mass produced or sold in retail stores. Pieces can only be purchased on this website or at a show. MONOLISA jewelry has been featured at fine art juried shows in California.
Argentium® Silver Earring Jackets
Argentium silver (used for the jackets) contains 94.0% pure silver and is more pure than traditional sterling silver. It is nickel-free, brighter/whiter than many precious metals, and known for tarnish-resistant properties. The Argentium silver MONOLISA uses is made in the USA and ethically sourced.
