MONOLISA Handbags area true work of art.  The handbag is handcrafted personally by artist, Lisa Ramos in her Clayton, California studio.  Lisa's design philosophy is focused on creating high quality handbags you can wear for years to come. What makes a MONOLISA bag unique? Each handbag is a one of a kind made piece. The body of the tote bags are designed with a single piece of leather, resulting in a seamless and sophisticated style. Each bag design is an extensive process of sourcing materials, developing a custom handbag pattern, hand cutting leather, working with adhesives, double sewing the bags interior, creating a closure element and surging a storage dustbag. MONOLISA bags are not mass produced or sold in retail stores. Pieces from the collection can only be purchased on this website or at a show. MONOLISA handbags have been featured at the San Francisco American Craft Show and other additional fine art juried shows in California. Lisa's mission is to design beautifully handmade limited edition pieces that add a touch of elegance to any personal style.

MONOLISA's bags are made with a variety of fine grade leathers from around the world. Our distinct leathers come in an array of textures and colors. We source our premium leathers in the heart of the Napa Valley, California. The high quality assortment of leathers used in our collection includes natural full grain, finely grained, embossed, patent, hair on and transfer print designs.
