THE HANDMADE PROCESS
The classic necklace style is a true work of art. The jewelry piece is handcrafted personally by artist, Lisa Ramos in her Clayton, California studio. Lisa's design philosophy is focused on creating high quality jewelry pieces you can wear for years to come. What makes a MONOLISA jewelry piece unique? Each pendant is a one of a kind made piece that isn't casted - pouring molten metal into molds for mass production. The handmade design is an extensive process of sawing metal pieces, hand sculpting, soldering, hammering, texturing, sanding, stone setting and polishing. The MONOLISA Collection is not mass produced or sold in retail stores. Pieces from the collection can only be purchased on this website or at a show. The MONOLISA Jewelry Collection has been featured at fine art juried shows in California. Lisa's mission is to design beautifully handmade limited edition pieces that add a touch of elegance to any personal style.
About 14 Karat Gold
14 karat gold is valued for its balance of beauty, durability, and everyday wearability. The solid 14k gold used in MONOLISA designs is sourced from refiners on the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) list—certified refiners that are independently audited, traceable, and conflict free.

About Akoya Pearls
Akoya pearls are known for their mirror-like luster, exceptional roundness, and refined surface quality—making them one of the most prized pearls in fine jewelry.
Their quality comes from a slower, more delicate cultivation process. Akoya pearls are typically harvested in cold saltwater during the winter months, which helps develop their signature high luster. Each Akoya oyster produces only one pearl at a time, contributing to their rarity and value.
In contrast, freshwater oysters can produce multiple pearls at once and grow more quickly. Pearls have long symbolized love and elegance and are the traditional birthstone for June.
