Each design is an extensive process of hand sculpting, hammering, sanding, buffing and polishing to create a high quality piece you can wear for years to come. The ring is handcrafted by Bay Area Artisan, Lisa Ramos in the Clayton, California. MONOLISA artisan made rings are not mass produced or sold in retail stores. They are only available exclusively at this online store or at a MONOLISA show.

What Is Gold Filled Jewelry?

Gold filled jewelry is created by bonding a thick layer of real gold to a base metal, typically brass, using heat and pressure. This process permanently fuses the metals together, resulting in a durable material that looks and wears like high-karat gold.

By law, gold filled jewelry must contain at least 5% gold by weight (1/20th gold), which is significantly more than gold plated jewelry that only has a thin surface layer.
