The bag is handcrafted personally by Bay Area handbag designer, Lisa Ramos in her Clayton, California studio. MONOLISA bags are not mass produced or sold in retail stores. They can only be purchased on this website or at a MONOLISA show.  MONOLISA handbags have been featured at the San Francisco American Craft Show and other additional fine art juried shows.

Bag Leather:  Designed in Italy by a fifth-generation tannery. Its luxurious look and feel is achieved through a vacuuming process that shrinks the leather to provide a smooth, polished surface that will continue to burnish and polish with wear, growing more beautiful with age.
Tassel Leather: The suede leather comes from a European tannery featuring a beautiful, luxurious nap and the soft, supple feel of “real suede”, imparting this leather with a stunning tracking effect. The leather has a specific tanning process, waterproofing the leather for better and easier maintainability.
